Jennifer Wayne, who is the granddaughter of legendary Hollywood actor John Wayne, has officially left Democrat-led California for Nashville, Tennessee.

Wayne explained, “What drew me to Nashville after living in California is that it’s very family-friendly. The quality of life is awesome.”

“So many families laying down roots here,” she continued. “So many professionals looking for a fresh start. There’s a lot of opportunity here.”

Wayne has made her mark in country music, but says Nashville isn’t just known for being “Music City.”

Liberal policies have wreaked havoc on California and, in particular, the city of Los Angeles.

In contrast to the Democratic policies of Governor Gavin Newsom’s California, the people of Tennessee elected Republican Governor Bill Lee.

Wayne certainly isn’t the first celebrity to leave from California with the goal of finding more family-friendly towns and a better quality of life.

In an effort “to give my kids a better life,” Hollywood A-list actor Mark Wahlberg says he can no longer live in Los Angeles.

The 51-year-old Boston native said his biggest challenge is juggling the demands of his job with his responsibilities as a father and husband.

He is now committed to creating a “state-of-the-art studio” in Nevada “and make this Hollywood 2.0.” By getting out the “Hollywood bubble,” as he describes it, this will allow more time to spend with family.

“To be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us,” Wahlberg said about his move to Nevada.

“So, we came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lot of opportunity here,” Wahlberg concluded. “I’m really excited about the future.”

In Nashville, Jennifer Wayne is teaming up with fellow artist Brad Rempel for a new series on The Design Network titled “Flip U.”

The new Tennessee TV stars will flip properties in hopes of turning a profit.

“I know my grandfather being John Wayne is awesome and opens a lot of doors, but you almost have more pressure once those doors are open,” she explained.

“People expect more from you. So you have to show up and do your part. I failed a lot in the beginning and I learned a lot from those failures. But it’s a positive experience.”

“You want to make him proud and you want to fill his shoes in a way. You can never really fill his shoes. But luckily, I’m in a whole different genre. I’m in music. He was in acting and I heard he was tone-deaf. So I think I’m OK. I think I’ve succeeded on that part.”

When it comes to home flipping, Wayne said, “I like looking at the bones of a property. That way I can see the bigger picture. A lot of people will walk into these spaces that are left in just terrible conditions.”

“Some people leave their food out and there are just bugs and stuff everywhere. It’s a turnoff for a lot of people walking in and seeing all this junk.”

‘Immediately they’re like, ‘I don’t even want to deal with this.’ But the main thing I like to look at is the bones of the property. If it’s cleaned out, could you open the space? Could it be modernized a little bit?”

She concluded, “I think you have to look past the initial viewing of properties and see if there’s promise there, especially if it’s in a great location. That’s always key.”
