Ana Walshe of Massachusetts is a mother of three children who went missing on New Year’s Day.
The 39-year-old mom was expected to take a rideshare, such as Uber or Lyft, to travel to Logan International Airport in Boston. Walshe’s family says she was planning to fly from Boston to Washington, D.C. where she works inreal estate.

Her flight was initially scheduled for Tuesday, January 3rd, but she changed her flight to New Years Day due to an unknown “emergency” at work.
However, police say she never boarded the flight and it’s unclear if she ordered a rideshare.
When Walshe didn’t show up to work in D.C., her employer and husband reported her missing on Wednesday, January 4th.

In a new development, police have arrested her husband, 46-year-old Brian Walshe, and charged him with misleading the police investigation.
Brian is accused of lying to police because he went to Home Depot while wearing a mask and spent about $450 in cash on cleaning supplies. He was caught on surveillance video.
It’s known what happened to Walshe during the three-day period between New Years Day and Wednesday, January 4th.
Nearly two dozen state troopers and three K9 teams searched the wooded areas near Walshe’s home. The search ended on Saturday after two days in the woods and they did not find anything.

According to police, Walshe hasn’t had a digital footprint for the past week. Her phone has been turned off since New Year’s Day, authorities daid.
Law enforcement officials where seen back at her Massachusetts home on Sunday. Her husband, Brian Walshe, was seen leaving the home in a red Volkswagen. Their three children were taken away in a separate vehicle.
Helicopter video footage revealed that authorities were draining the family pool in their backyard.

Police said they have “probable cause” to believe the husband had misled investigators into the search for his wife.
Inside the home, investigators have found evidence of blood as well as a knife with blood.
On the day when Ana Walshe was reported missing, her husband left a voicemail to a friend of Ana’s in Washington D.C., where Ana works.
On the recording, Brian says, “Good afternoon, this is Brian Walshe. I hope all is going well.”
“I was just reaching out to basically everybody I could. Ana hasn’t been in touch for a few days,” he said. “If you know anyone that may have had contact with her, you know I am trying to call everyone. I am sorry to bother you. I am sure everything is fine.”
Video footage captured the moment when police arrested Brian and escorted him out of the house to a police cruiser. Many people commented that he appears to be smiling or smirking.

One person commented, “This is not the face of a worry husband when his wife remains missing.”
“This is not the face of a worry father who is concern about his son’s safety,” the person added. “This is the face a of a person who doesn’t care about either of the people mentioned above.”
This isn’t Brian first time in trouble with the law.
Back in 2018, Brian Walshe was charged with fraud after selling two fake Andy Warhol paintings.
Andy Warhol paintings are some of the most valuable in the art world. Some of his paintings sell for tens of millions of dollars. Even on the low end, his paintings are worth at least $10,000 at auction.
Brian admitted to the crime and pleaded guilty to several charges in 2021. He had been on home confinement pending his sentencing.
