Eight-time Grammy winner Chris Stapleton is going to sing the national anthem at Super Bowl LVII.

Also, performing is twelve-time Grammy winner, Babyface, who will sing “America the Beautiful,” and Emmy-award winner and Golden Globe-nominate Sheryl Lee Ralph singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Stapleton moved to Nashville in 2001 to pursue his music career as songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He dropped out of engineering degree from Vanderbilt University.

Stapleton signed a contract with Sea Gayle Music. By 2018, Stapleton has amassed over 170 songs.

He has co-written six number-one country songs, including Kenny Chesney’s five-week number-one “Never Wanted Nothing More”, Josh Turner’s “Your Man”, George Strait’s “Love’s Gonna Make It Alright”, and Luke Bryan’s “Drink a Beer”.

Stapleton has received eight Grammy Awards, 10 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, and 14 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards. He was named the ACM’s Artist-Songwriter of the Decade.

Ralph, a 66-year-old known woman for her work on the ABC sitcom Abbott Elementary, tweeted, “Someone wake me up from this dream!”

Last year artist Mickey Guyton, sang the national anthem, and R&B hitmaker Jhené Aiko, sang “America the Beautiful.”

The gospel duo Mary Mary performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and they were accompanied by the L.A. Philharmonic’s Youth Orchestra.

Super Bowl LVII is scheduled for Sunday, February 12th.

It was announced earlier that Rihanna would headline the halftime show following last year’s performance from Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
