Dr. Scott DesJarlais, who now serves as a Republican U.S. House Representative from Tennessee, says President Biden must undergo “a very thorough and comprehensive study of cognitive function.”
In order to regain the public’s trust, DesJarlais says the results must be transparent and released to the American people.
DesJarlais said, “I think it would be important to see a very thorough and comprehensive study of cognitive function and see that it is released with transparency to the general public.”
“The American people want to know that their commander-in-chief is fully capable of performing at the highest level to protect the safety and security of our nation.”
DesJarlais isn’t the first prominent doctor who has practiced medicine to call Biden to take a cognitive examine. The former White House physician under Presidents Obama and Trump, Dr. Ronny Jackson, has also demanded that Biden takes a cognitive examine.
Jackson, who now serves as a Republican U.S. Representative from Texas, says he believes Biden is showing obvious signs of age-related dementia and is unfit to remain in the oval office.
In November of 2022, Jackson called on Biden to resign.
Jackson tweeted, “President Biden is 80 years old and mentally unstable. This man is NOT FIT to work the counter at Ben and Jerry’s, let alone to be our Commander in Chief! He’s totally incapable of the job and needs to take a cognitive test immediately or else RESIGN.”

According to a new NBC poll, Biden’s lowest marks were related to his competence and health. Only 31% of American believe Biden is competent and effective as president while 28% said he has the necessary mental and physical health to be president.
A staggering 71% of Americans say the country is on the wrong track.
NBC host Chuck Todd said, “Asked to describe where America is headed in the next year, more than two-thirds use negative words and phrases: ‘downhill,’ ‘wrong track,’ ‘disaster,’ ‘hard times,’ and ‘uncertainty.’”

Even worse, the poll showed that only 34% of Americans believe Biden is “honest and trustworthy” and only 32% believe he has “the ability to handle a crisis.”
23% of poll respondents said he’s uniting the country.

Many of these scores are down significantly from when Biden first took office, according to the poll.
“Since January 2021, Biden has dropped 17 points on uniting the country, 15 points on his ability to handle a crisis, 13 points on being knowledgeable and experienced enough to handle the presidency, and 9 points on being honest and trustworthy,” said Horwitt, the Democratic pollster.
What also stands out in the survey is the public’s continued sour mood: 71% believe the nation is headed in the wrong direction (essentially unchanged from the 72% who said this in November), and 64% say their family’s income is falling behind the cost of living (63% said this in Sept. 2022).
