Many liberals are suddenly attacking country star Jason Aldean for a song released back in May titled, “Try That in a Small Town.”
Without evidence, left-wing critics claim the song the is a “pro-lynching song.”
In the music video, Aldean sing as news media companies provide coverage of the violent and horrific 2020 “Black Lives Matter” riots that destroyed American cities. WATCH:
Aldean references the liberal protesters by singing about they assault police officers and stomp on the American flag.
“Cuss out a cop spit in his face / stomp on the flag and light it up,” Aldean sings.
Aldean has faced serious backlash. Country superstar Sheryl Crow called the song “lame” and Country Music Television (CMT) pulled the musician’s music video from circulation.
Despite the backlash, the song skyrocketed to number one on iTunes.
.@Jason_Aldean I’m from a small town. Even people in small towns are sick of violence. There’s nothing small-town or American about promoting violence. You should know that better than anyone having survived a mass shooting.
This is not American or small town-like. It’s just lame https://t.co/cuOtUO9xjr

On social media, Aldean responded, “In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests.”
“These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far.”
He continued, “As so many pointed out, I was present at Route 91-where so many lost their lives- and our community recently suffered another heartbreaking tragedy. NO ONE, including me, wants to continue to see senseless headlines or families ripped apart.”

“Try That In A Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief,” Aldean explained.
“Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences. My political views have never been something I’ve hidden from, and I know that a lot of us in this Country don’t agree on how we get back to a sense of normalcy where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night.”
“But the desire for it to- that’s what this song is about,” he concluded.
BLM protests caused an estimated $2 billion in damages. The Insurance Information Institute (III), which compiles information from property and casualty insurers, estimated that the damage from the protests would cost the insurance industry up to $2 billion in paid claims.
However, this does not include the cost of uninsured losses, which could be significant. BLM protests likely caused far greater damages than $2 billion.
The liberal mainstream media claims that most of Black Lives Matter protests were peaceful, but this clearly wasn’t true.
Despite the left-wing backlash, Aldean remains as one of the most successful country music artists of all time. His recent success is a testament to his staying power.
In the past year, Aldean has released two chart-topping albums, “Macon, Georgia” and “9,” and he has scored several number-one singles, including “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood and “Trouble With a Heartbreak.”
Aldean’s success is due in part to his ability to connect with his fans. His songs are often about real-life experiences, and he delivers them with a raw emotion that resonates with listeners. Aldean is also a gifted performer, and his live shows are always high-energy and entertaining.

He has won numerous awards, including Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards and ACM Awards. Aldean is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry, one of the most prestigious honors in country music.
Aldean’s recent success is a sign that he is still going strong after more than 15 years in the music business. He is one of the most popular and successful country music artists in the world, and his fans can expect to hear more great music from him for years to come.
